Welcome to the website of Random Monster Table CIC, creators of Daundermyth and the Your Emotional World game system.
Who we are
Random Monster Table CIC is a Community Interest Company based in East Lothian, Scotland, founded by me, Barry Martin.

Started in 2018, I worked with young people in Ormiston Primary School as a volunteer; using art, role playing games and storytelling to teach skills and confidence.
​
After covid this grew into a plan. a degree in psychology and now a game, all focused to help children.
​
We are now a fully blown CIC with directors, advisers, funding and a string of success stories.

What we do
​We work with young people in the local community; using art, game playing, and storytelling to provide a robust and clinically-supported toolset for mental health resilience.
​
We work in schools free of charge, working closely with teachers to target the children who need the most urgent help. And, we work out of school hours generating money by running classes and selling games to fund the running of this company.
​
Our unique Your Emotional World system allows players to explore confidence, emotions and social boundaries in a safe and fun environment.
​
We offer a toolset, a way for kids who struggle with friendships, social skills, confidence or emotions to find like minded people and work with their peers in a safe space to build resilience.
Why we do it
Sometimes a Random Monster visits all of us, whether that is anxiety, sadness or just everyday strife. That can be magnified for children.
​
However not everyone needs a therapist sometime we just need the right tools to work it out our ourselves. That can be practicing with our emotions, saying things confidently in social situations or just meeting new people who feel like us.
​
This company was started to give children the right tools at the right time of life to support them in their future. I was one of those kids, creativity helped me at a time I needed it most. ​
